BREAKING – Angus have given notice they are returning to Balcombe

Published by FFBRA on

We have received notice via Balcombe Parish Council that “today Wednesday 12 September Mid Sussex District Council informed Balcombe Parish Council that the planning conditions for Lower Stumble Flow Testing were discharged by Angus Energy on Monday 10 September, and at that time they gave West Sussex County Council 7 day’s notice that the work to flow test would commence on either Monday 17 September or Tuesday 18 September. We have been told that site preparation is currently underway. MSDC will keep us up-to-date with a daily briefing and we will pass this information on to the community to keep all residents informed about activities at the site.”

FFBRA understands from the Environment Agency that a number of the conditions of the Environmental permit are still outstanding and believe therefore that flow testing cannot start on site until these conditions are discharged.

The inaugural meeting of the Community Liaison Group took place on Wednesday 5th September 2018. FFFRA was not represented at this meeting and will be asking for representation in the Balcombe Parish Council’s Extraordinary Meeting on Monday 17th September at 8pm in the Parish Room. We have received a number of questions from our members and are waiting for the opportunity to put these to Angus ahead of them flow testing the well.

Individuals or village organisations are to submit an application to the Balcombe Parish Clerk by Midday 17 September by emailing parish.clerk@btconnect.com or calling 01444 811833 if they wish to be a representative on the Community Liaison Group.

Angus have provided the following Documentation to Balcombe Parish Council:

The Flow Test Diary page is recording Angus’ Flow Test Operations and keeping our members and supporters uptodate with the latest information and news happening onsite.
